As we all know The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar is the Universal Champion and to say that he is a good champion and representative of the WWE would be something of a joke among lifelong fans. His presence on Monday Night Raw is virtually non-existent except usually he may turn up once every few months to hype up his next match and then he will retreat again and we won't see or hear from him till he shows up the next time when the money is right for him.

Monday Night Raw, in particular, has had to suffer due to the creative booking decisions being made backstage about having a champion like Lesnar representing the company and also failing to have a few top stars. It's a well-known fact that Roman Reigns was the guy that they were investing in and they didn't think to invest in a contingency plan in case Roman got injured or sick. There are multiple guys in that locker room that could be well-established stars and prime contenders for the Universal Title if WWE had built them up and made them look like other legitimate threats to Brock Lesnar rather than just having Roman Reigns as the guy to dethrone him.

Braun Strowman is an absolute monster and he should have been booked a lot better than he has been and he could legitimately have taken the title off Lesnar had WWE not dropped the ball on him at Crown Jewel or even earlier than that. Braun was always more popular as a choice for a Universal Champion unfortunately for the company. Braun Strowman has had three chances at Lesnar and judging by how things are looking, the management backstage has destroyed his credibility so much that he doesn't even look like a threat to Lesnar anymore simply because they never had enough faith in him.

Sure, they might be trying to build up more Superstars now like Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Drew McIntyre and Finn Balor but they should have already had at least a couple of the Superstars look more like threats to Lesnar and not have left it till the last minute when Reigns, unfortunately, got leukaemia. They could not possibly have not thought about it before it all happened but they continue just pushing Reigns to the moon and now they are scrambling to find a worthy WrestleMania opponent for Brock Lesnar that is credible enough and a believable opponent.

When it comes down to credibility and experience with The Beast then you would have to give it to Seth Rollins one would think and if not Seth then it would have to be AJ or try Drew McIntyre against Lesnar but that would be huge gamble as both men are heels and I think Drew needs to be built up a little bit more before he goes near the main event otherwise things won't work out for him the way the company would hope. They could have even built up Bobby Lashley as he would be a serious threat given his background along with Lesnar's in MMA but at the moment Bobby isn't going anywhere in his career and his return to the company has been a complete bust thus far.

Whatever the case may be for WWE they need to get the title off Lesnar as soon as possible and bring some prestige to the Universal title as Lesnar is making it look like a toy to carry around with him and not presenting himself like a proper champion by being there week in and week out defending the title. The male locker room on Monday Night Raw does not have a top championship to work for at the moment without it being there meaning that a lot of the storylines are relatively pointless unless you're fighting for the IC title or the tag titles.

Unfortunately, I think Brock Lesnar is going to be champion until WrestleMania 35 as poor Braun Strowman has lost too much credibility and the company doesn't have faith in him which is sad to say but let's just hope that Brock loses his title at Mania. I don't think his match either should close the show. I think it's time to break the status quo and allow the women to close the show in the main event of the evening between Ronda, Charlotte and Becky.

Women's wrestling seems to be literally on fire at the moment and rightly so and I think it would be more of a feel-good moment for the crowd if women got to close the show rather than another Brock Lesnar match especially if Becky Lynch is in the main event and wins the match.

Brock does not need to close the show and he's not really as big of a draw anymore as what people make him out to be as he shows no interest in the company that helped build him not to mention they booed his last WrestleMania match out of the building. If he's scheduled to win at WrestleMania and continues holding the title not only will there be a huge uproar but I think it's going to turn a lot of lifelong fans against the product and confirm what many people think that WWE isn't going to change and listen to the fans.

I however remain optimistic about the company and do believe they can listen to the fans and give them what they want and you can see small changes starting to happen but the most important thing is to get the title of Brock Lesnar and give it to a full-time superstar who's worked hard to earn it like Seth Rollins and then the company will prove that they are sticking to their word providing they don't allow part-timers to hold the belt anymore. They will then start to see the ratings go back up and people may have a bit more faith in the product. Here's to hoping that WWE can continue to change the product for the better and listen to the majority of the fans.
