Cody Rhodes and Tony Khan
Tony Khan has accused WWE for tampering with AEW talents' contracts

Tony Khan has been the epicenter of controversy throughout the week due to his inflammatory remarks against WWE. The AEW President made some massive allegations against the Stamford-based promotion, which have sent the internet into a frenzy.

Khan made a series of tweets and made shocking claims that WWE tried tampering with AEW talents' contracts last year when his mother was hospitalized. As a result, he expressed his disdain for the company, stating that this was the time when he started taking things personally.

Amid all these allegations, fans have been wondering whether Cody Rhodes was one of those superstars whom WWE poached from All Elite Wrestling. However, that's not the case, as Rhodes' contract was not tampered with by any means.

The American Nightmare's AEW contract expired at the end of 2021, and he chose not to continue with the Jacksonville-based promotion. Moreover, the former EVP of the company did not have any bad blood with Tony Khan and left on good terms.

Cody Rhodes left AEW as he had a different vision, which was coming back to WWE and following in his father's footsteps. He wanted to return to the Stamford-based promotion where his late father, Dusty Rhodes, left his legacy.

The Prodigal Son returned to WWE with a vision to fulfill the unfulfilled dream of his father, which is to capture the WWE Championship and finish his story.

Tony Khan's controversial tweets exasperated people in AEW

There's no denying that Tony Khan has been explosive when it comes to his activities recently. Khan has made some controversial tweets throughout the week, taking shots at WWE amid the Tuesday Night War.

While in one tweet he called Triple H and Shawn Michaels "bald a**holes," in other tweets he stirred up Vince McMahon's past controversies. Moreover, he disdained legendary Shawn Michaels for his booking in NXT.

Moreover, the AEW President wasn't reluctant to drag WWE legends John Cena and The Undertaker into his comments. As a result, Tony Khan and AEW received huge backlash due to the former's imbecile acts.

Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that people in AEW are seemingly exasperated at the promotion's CEO for putting the company in a bad light due to his remarks.

Alvarez stated that people backstage at AEW want Tony Khan to quit social media for good and stay away from his phone. They believe that Khan is dragging the company down with his activities.
