Disturbing details revealed on award-winning ECW Star's cause of death

Rotten passed away earlier this month

According to the Baltimore Sun, recently deceased former ECW, WWE, and TNA wrestler Axl Rotten’s cause of death is due to an accidental overdose, which was revealed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.

An official report filed by the police in the area stated that Rotten was found on the bathroom floor of a McDonald’s restaurant in the Linthicum neighborhood in an unresponsive state. The wrestler was discovered on the floor of a stall and had pulled down the infant changing table in order to place drug paraphernalia on it.

A broken burnt tablespoon with “crystalline residue” was found at the scene. To top it all, an unlabeled pill bottle with capsules of a “brownish substance,” suspected to be heroin, was discovered on top of a paper towel dispenser.

The coroner pronounced Rotten dead at the scene at 3:00 PM that day, Thursday, February 4th. Investigators are still clueless as to how long Rotten was in the bathroom before he was discovered.

The 44-year-old had a solid career in wrestling, and won several top trophies across the various franchises he wrestled for, but failed to win any silverware in either WWE or TNA.
