Emma is one of the most overlooked female superstars of the past few years. While The Four Horsewomen, Paige, Natalya,etc. are all given credit for the revolution, Emma has not been given the credit she deserves, which is a shame because she is a great talent. She had a bad pairing with Santino Marella when she was called up, and she decided to go back down to NXT. At NXT, she reinvented herself and paired with Dana Brooke, a pairing that helped both talents bring the best out of each other. Emma finally got her main roster call-up once more right before Wrestlemania and even had a match on the pre-show, in a Ten-Divas Tag Team match.
Post-Wrestlemania, she began a feud with Becky Lynch, and this was the pretext of Dana Brooke appearing on the main roster, aligning with Emma once more. It looked like a promising feud, up until the middle of May, when Emma obtained a back injury at a live event that required surgery. It was estimated that she would be out for six months. However, it has now been revealed that not only was she far ahead of schedule, but she was apparently cleared six weeks back. Emma took to twitter to vent out her frustrations about the whole situation:
Emma recently appeared on a live event as a special guest referee. This was right after the reports had leaked that she was going to be making her return very soon. The timing of Emma’s injury was bad as she was beginning to pick up some steam. However, it is only a matter of time before she returns. Perhaps the reason that she hasn’t come back on screen is because there is no creative plans for her.However, pairing her up with Dana Brooke once more would be the right call. There has been constant teasing about dissension between Charlotte and Dana Brooke. It looks like they are trying to make Dana Brooke a sympathetic babyface, but that is just not clicking for her. It is better off that they keep Dana as a heel and pair her with Emma once more. Both of them could definitely do with the re-pairing. Emma would be more useful to the Raw roster, which hasn’t been fully utilizing it’s female talents as they should. Who would you like to see Emma feud with upon her return to television?
