Ex-WWE champion to quit SmackDown & move to RAW after getting disrespected by Nick Aldis? Potential trade explored

WWE Friday Night SmackDown aired last night and it featured a surprising announcement. It has been revealed that there is a trade window. RAW General Manager Adam Pearce, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, and NXT General Manager Ava will all be shaking their rosters up in the coming weeks.

As a result, Nick Aldis was seen meeting with select WWE RAW stars, including Gunther and Dominik Mysterio. One star who did not like this was Carmelo Hayes, who felt like he was being ignored by Aldis. In fact, he even felt disrespected by the SmackDown authority figure.

If Melo feels as disrespected as he claims, he might soon move to Monday Night RAW. He could request to be traded or transferred, trying his luck with Adam Pearce. The former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion tends to be less strict than Aldis, which could work in Melo's favor.

In fact, Carmelo even brought up the idea of requesting a transfer when talking to Nick Aldis on WWE SmackDown. He was frustrated that non-SmackDown stars could talk to Nick more easily than one of his first-round Draft picks.

Aldis didn't seem concerned by this, essentially saying he would see the move as a favor. This was only further insulting to the former NXT Champion, which could certainly lead to him moving brands.

WWE may have teased a Carmelo Hayes vs. Gunther feud

If Carmelo Hayes does move to Monday Night RAW, there are several big feuds for the WWE performer. It isn't clear how much of a shake-up the rosters will see, but based on the current split, there are some heavy hitters on the red brand.

The most obvious choice for a feud was teased on SmackDown. Gunther and Carmelo went face-to-face and The Ring General laughed off The A-Champ. Could the two clash over the World Heavyweight Title on RAW?

Other interesting WWE RAW names to consider include the likes of Sheamus, Ilja Dragunov, Bron Breakker, Damian Priest, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn, among others. Melo has a history with Bron and Ilja, but the others would offer brand-new matches and feuds.

There is also the outside chance that Hayes could return to NXT. Many believe Ava needs some more stars on her brand, especially when it comes to the men's side of things. Could Carmelo return to his home brand to help elevate it to the next level now that he has SmackDown exposure?
