Exclusive: Sasha Banks discusses Becky Lynch, Corey Graves taking shots at her & more

Sasha Banks put on two instant classics with Bayley during her time in NXT and even had a feud with Charlotte Flair on RAW that people talk about to this day. Unfortunately, she was sidelined in the recent past, as newer WWE superstars made their way to RAW.

Thankfully, she's back in the title picture once again and is slated to face Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. I caught up with her in a media teleconference last night and had a chance to ask her a few questions.

As one would expect, the 'Legit Boss' didn't hold back at all.

Corey Graves is known to take shots at you from commentary. Why do you think that is the case?

Banks: (Laughs) Jealously. Because I'm the best. He probably asked me out on a date or something and I said no. (Laughs). No, I honestly do not know. He probably wants to be a boss like me and knows he can't. So I don't know!

Team Sportskeeda interviewed you when you'd come down to India last year. How was it performing for Indian fans?

Banks: India is amazing. Oh my gosh! I had so much fun performing in India. The people are amazing. I love the food. The Singh Brothers took me out and showed me amazing things. And the fans were amazing. So I cannot wait to come back.

What do you think of Becky Lynch's rise in popularity that has happened over the past few months?

Banks: Good for her, but she is not the Legit Boss.

You are facing Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble, but do you think the fact that you are both good guys could affect the program?

Banks: Why do I need to be a bad guy to wrestle her? I think in WWE it's all about competition and having the best match, whether it's good guys wrestling each other or bad guy against a bad guy. It's all the same thing.

We all have that one common goal of winning. So if you're a good guy versus a bad guy, you want to win. If you're a good guy versus a good guy, you still want to win. The common goal is winning. So I don't think it's going to take away from the match at all.

What do you think of Lacey Evans and Nikki Cross?

Banks: I'm really looking forward to their call-up. I honestly hope we get Lacey Evans on RAW because I've been a big fan of her. There's something about her that makes me feel that she's going to be a star. I think Nikki Cross is also an amazing wrestler and I look forward to both of them debuting in the company.
