In a recent appearance on the Kevin Gill show, WWE NXT Champion Finn Balor discussed a range of topics including his dream run in the franchise, moving from Japan to WWE, creative details at NXT, keeping a positive mental attitude and more – reports dailywrestlingnews.

On moving from Japan’s NJPW to NXT, Baylor said: “Japan was an incredible chapter. I was kind of very reluctant to move on from Japan and very unsure of what I was getting into when I came to NXT. I can honestly say it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made. Here maybe 14 months now and I’ve been having a blast.”

Discussing the idea behind his Demon entrance, Baylor stated that a lot of effort goes into planning his entrance and that Triple H and Road Dogg have been major sources of advice.

The wrestler also believes that one cannot preplan art, and things only work out after trial and error, while also stating that the spur-of-the-moment feelings are far superior than those planned in advance.

One thing that’s vital for any top wrestler is a positive attitude, a fact that Baylor acknowledges, stating that NXT is full of top class individuals – while singling out tag team duo Gable and Jordan for praise – and said that in order to survive in a competitive brand like NXT, positivity is a must.

Finn Baylor, whose real name is Fergal Devitt, originally hails from Ireland, and began his professional career in his homeland after which he moved across various franchises including New Japan Pro Wrestling, before signing for the WWE’s NXT brand in 2014.

The 34-year-old took no time to carve a niche for himself in the brand, and is the current NXT Champion.
