Five least deserving Hall of Fame inductees in WWE

29th Annual AIDS Walk LA

Despite being the place where the legends in the business is honored, the WWE hall of fame has been one of the most controversial topics in professional wrestling. The inconsistency with which the inductees are chosen for the Hall of Fame is something that’s definetly up for debate and the absence of a proper voting system has caused the induction of many questionable names. While many legends in the business are yet to be inducted some others have literally walked into the Hall of Fame without having much impact on the ring or with the fans. So here is a look at those names that had a cakewalk into the Hall of Fame despite being least deserving for the “Hall of Famer” tag.

5- Drew Carey

He may be a good actor, comedian and sports executive but one thing that he does not deserve is a Hall of Fame induction. While some of the wrestlers who dedicated their sweat and blood for the company for many years are still yet to be inducted, Carey was inducted for his sole appearance as entrant in the 2001 Royal Rumble. In the battle royal, instead of wrestling Carey eliminated himself by jumping over the top rope and still got inducted, much like adding salt to the wounded fans and wrestlers.

4- Pete Rose

The Hollywood Show

Unlike Drew Carey, Rose was someone who had a handful of appearances in the WWE. He is known for his interactions with Kane in between 1998 and 2000 when he appeared as a guest ring announcer for the Big Red Machine. Almost all his appearances ended in him being beaten up by Kane by either chokeslams or Tombstone piledrivers. And if the WWE inducts performers for getting beaten up, then the system is something that needs to be changed immediately.

3- William “Refrigerator” Perry

"Celebrity Boxing 2" Weigh-InA former star in NFL, Perry was also inducted into the Hall of Fame on basis of a single appearance he made. Perry only participated in the WWF battle royal in WrestleMania 2 which featured wrestlers and NFL players. Though he has achieved many feats elsewhere, Perry failed to make any lasting impression on the wrestling fans with his single appearance and that makes him one of the least deserving inductees in the Hall of Fame at the moment.

2- Bob Uecker

Milwaukee Brewers v Baltimore Orioles

Take nothing away from him, Bob Uecker is a legend when it comes to being an announcer in baseball but WWE Hall of Fame isn’t a place where the fans want to see him. With a couple of appearances to his name Uecker might have an upper hand over most of the inductees in this list. He made his first appearance as a ring announcer at WrestleMania III and followed up as a backstage interviewer in WrestleMania IV, and if the only requirement to be inducted is that then Todd Grisham deserves a place in the Hall Of Fame too.

1- James Dudley

Now, for starters he has no connection with the Dudley boys and hasn’t been inside the ring for in his entire life so far, yet there he is in the Hall of Fame. Dudley started his career as a TV producer for Vince McMahon’s grandfather Jess McMahon; he then continued to serve Vince by becoming his limousine driver and bodyguard. But where is the “Hall of Fame” achievement in all this?. WWE has seen many faces who did similar jobs to that of him but Dudley was the only one who managed to be an inductee. And though some might say he was a critical part of the production team the only reason that can suit his induction is Mr. McMahon’s favoring and that make Dudley the least deserving inductee in the Hall of Fame.
