5 people who will be negatively affected by WWE continuing to push Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns, WWE,
Can Roman Reigns carry the company on his back?

Every action has consequences and WWE will soon learn that if they continue trying to push Roman Reigns as their top guy. While one would probably hope that WWE got the hint by now that The WWE Universe is not going to get behind Roman Reigns, especially after the incident at backlash, there are rumors circulating that getting Reigns over is still the plan.

Interestingly enough, the supposed reason that WWE is sticking with Reigns despite the massive backlash from fans is that they don't believe they have any better plans right now. With that in mind and WWE odiously still stuck in this tunnel vision way of thinking, here are five people that are going to be negatively affected by the decison to keep pushing Reigns.

#5 The WWE Universe

WWE Universe,
Will The WWE Universe give up on the company over this?

Despite The WWE Universe's repeated negative responses to Roman Reigns being pushed as the company's top guy, backstage officials are still determined on pushing Reigns down fans throats. Unfortunately for fans, that means that Reigns will most likely be staying around the title picture for the foreseeable future, which could yield results similar to that of Backlash.

With that being said and fans responses to Reigns getting worse by the week, it should come as no surprise that The overall product going forward will be uninteresting to watch and might even turn off fans from the product completely. WWE is also showing that they are intentionally ignoring The WWE Universe' opinion on this decison, which will only make them angrier.

In the end, The WWE Universe has two decision here. Give Roman Reigns another chance to prove to them that he deserves to be the top guy or turn to Smackdown Live. They could also swear of WWE completely, which wouldn't be that unreasonable with the way WWE is ignoring the fans right now, but its horrible that WWE would do something that hurts fans this much.

#4 Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon,
Vince McMahon's legacy may never be the same if he can't get Roman Reigns over.

The more Vince McMahon tries to push Reigns as the company's top guuy, the more he damages his legacy in the process. In fact, The WWE Universe has already made it known that they believe McMahon is out of touch with what fans want and his decison to continue to push Roman Reigns is only going to solidify that.

Not only does McMahon's controversial decison show that McMahon doesn't know what fans want anymore, it also shows that he is more then willing to put the company in jeopardy in order to pusch one guy, which is an extremely dangerous mindset for any business man and could leave the company in shambles as a result.

In the end, McMahon has doen a lot of things to tarnish his legacy in the company, but pushing Roman Reigns after fans basically begging him not to will no doubt go down as the worst thing he's done in his career. Of course McMahon has the chance to rectify this by giving the top slot to someone else, but its seems like he's not interested in doing that.

#3 The WWE

WWE, WWE headquarters,
If Roman Reigns fails as WWE's top guy, what does it mean for the future of the company?

Another thing that will be affected by WWE continuing to push Roman Reigns will be the company's bottom line, which will most likely suffer as a result of Reigns's push Not only is that evident by the response to Reign's match against Samoa Joe at Backlash, but also by their disinterest in the main event of Raw last week.

In the end, ratings will suffer, attendance will suffer and overall interest will suffer as a result of WWE's plan to push Roman Reigns, but it doesn't seem like WWE cares at all. Of course they might once they have a long spell of loses to their bottom line and less negotiating power with a potential tv deal, but even then McMahon might be stuck in his ways.

Then again, maybe Triple H can convince McMahon to let him win the company, which would most likely result in Reign's push ending. Now that doesn't mean Triple H won't push Reigns in the future, especially since he was one of the original NXT guys and a member of the Shield, but the plan to push him will be scrapped until the right opportunity arises.

#2 The Monday Night Raw roster.

Seth Rollins, Finn Balor,
What will Roman Reigns's push mean for the rest of The Monday Night Raw roster?

Let's be honest here.

There are a multitude of superstars on the Raw roster that could easily take Roman Reign's place and actually get the fans behind them. Unfortunately for the superstars that are capable of putting the company on their back and bringing it to new heights, they will forever be held back as long as Vince McMahon wants Reigns as the top guy.

With that being said and superstars like Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Bruan Strowman,Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley capable of being WWE's top guy, its really ridiculous that WWE reportedly thinks that they don't have any other option , but to continue to push Roman Reigns.

In the end, the superstars listed above might get a chance to compete against Roman Reigns for the title, especially since there are some pretty good match up opportunities to be had, but as long as Reigns is Vince's golden boy, they aren't going to get their hands on the big red belt.

#1 Roman Reigns.

Roman Reigns,
What if Roman Reigns fails as WWE's top guy?

Believe it or not, Roman Reigns is the man with everything to lose in this scenario. Of course its possible that WWE finds a way to get Reigns over, but if they aren't able to, what does that say about Reigns future in The WWE? In fact, if he fails to get over with The WWE Universe after repeated tries, what does that say about his capabilities as a superstar?

In the end, if Roman Reigns fails to connect with fans after multiple attempts, its going to put a black mark on the rest of his career. Even worse then that however, Reigns could be responsible for WWE's decline if they continue to push him, which is going to rub fans the wrong way and eventually cause WWE officials to give up on him.

Maybe WWE will learn their lesson and stop pushing him before its too late, but if they don't, the consequences will be dire for Reigns. Who knows! It might even be enough to release him to being a mid-card superstar for the rest of his career, which would be a huge demotion from what was originally planned for him.
