Nia Jax versus Ronda Rousey for The Raw Women's title is set to happen at Money In The Bank in June and while fans are excited to see what will happen, one has to wonder how things will end when the Baddest Woman On The Planet meets the Irresistible Force. In fact, one has to wonder what effect this match will have on The WWE landscape.
With that being said and Rousey's first title match in WWE less than a month away, here are five ways things can end when Rousey and Jax lock up in the middle of the ring As always, let us know what you think will happen in the comments below, and be sure to tell us who you want to win at MITB.
#5 Ronda Rousey wins in a squash match
Believe it or not, one option WWE has is a quick squash match between Rousey and Jax. While the company has spent a lot of time pushing Jax to the top of The Women's division, they might be willing to sacrifice all that if it means Rousey destroys Jax similar to how Brock Lesnar destroyed John Cena at Summerslam that one year.
In the end, WWE is trying to build Rousey up as unstoppable and part of that could be having her beat Jax in under five minutes at Money In The Bank.
Not only would doing that set the stage for Rousey to sit atop the women's division for a very long time, it also could also be the setup for Rousey versus Charlotte or Asuka down the line.
#4 Nia Jax wins clean
Probably the most unlikely option on this entire list, WWE could choose to put Jax over and have her beat Rousey clean at Money In The Bank.
The move would be a confusing one, especially since it will hand Rousey a loss so early in her WWE career, but it could mean big things for the future of Jax's title reign and her career.
With that being said and Rousey not even taking a loss in her debut match against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, it would almost take a miracle for this option to play out and would require WWE to lose a lot of faith in Rousey in a very short amount of time.
It would also require WWE to see Jax as a more marketable entity than that of Rousey.
Whether that happens or not remains to be seen and will be highly dependent on what WWE thinks is best for business, but it seems like Jax has too many hurdles to jump through in order to stay champion after Money in The Bank.
In fact, it almost seems like Rousey defeating Jax at the pay per view is a foregone conclusion.
#3 Natalya helps Ronda Rousey defeat Nia Jax
Ronda Rousey has made it a point to come to Natalya's defence on multiple occasions, which could be WWE's way of hinting at Natalya helping Rousey win her first Women's title. Of course, doing so would hurt the legitimacy of Rousey's first reign as champion, but it also starts to sow the seeds of a breakup between the two superstars.
In the end, WWE have a lot of opportunities here to tell a good story and having Natalya and Rousey slowly start to butt heads would be a great thing to see play out on WWE television. While the heel turn probably won't be immediate, especially with WWE making Natalya a face after being drafted to Raw, one has to wonder how else she would play into the match.
Then again, another thing WWE could do is have The Authority make Natayla's life a living hell as a way to get to Rousey, which would be a cool way to help set up Rousey versus McMahon at Summerslam. It could also set up another tag team match, this time with Natalya and Rousey teaming up against Stephanie McMahon and some hired help.
#2 Ronda Rousey wins after interference from Alexa Bliss
WWE has a lot of options with this match and one of the most interesting ones has to be the possibility of Alexa Bliss costing her longtime friend, Nia Jax the championship. Not only would it set up a match between Jax and Bliss down the line, which will be great with a stipulation added, it's also another way to protect Jax from taking a clean loss to Rousey.
In the end, this is probably the best case scenario for Jax after a brief time in the title picture and also allows her another high profile feud to thrive in. It also keeps Bliss out of the title picture for awhile, which will give WWE time to build up some of their other superstars in The Raw Women's division.
As for Rousey, WWE could keep her off of television in the same way they do with Brock Lesnar and allow Bliss versus Jax to take centre stage once again. With that being said, WWE could also do a triple threat match for the title between Jax, Rousey and Bliss, which opens the door to even more possibilities!
#1 Stephanie McMahon costing Rousey the match at MITB
Ronda Rousey taking on Nia Jax for The Raw Women's title raises two big questions for WWE fans. The first is whether or not WWE will decide to put the title on Rousey in only her second match inside a WWE ring, which would be a huge departure from the original plan to keep her away from the title picture for awhile and could result in fan backlash.
The other question is if Stephanie McMahon will be involved in the match in any way or if she will ultimately cost Rousey her chance at the title or not. Another possibility here is for WWE to have Rousey win the belt from Jax in a clean finish, but then have Stephanie McMahon attack her and challenge her to a match at Summerslam for the big red belt.
In the end, both outcomes would be pretty interesting to see, but having Stephanie McMahon cost Rousey the title would be huge swerve for The WWE Universe and probably the best way to set up McMahon versus Rousey down the line. It would also be a good excuse to keep Rousey chasing the title for awhile, which would make her rumoured match with Charlotte just that much more special when it happens.
