It's no secret that The WWE Universe has a never view of Roman Reigns's Universal title run, but breaking up The Shield would actually help that in a lot of ways. Not only does it allow for Reigns to prove he can retain the title without outside help, something he hasn't managed to accomplish yet, it also proves that he can dominate The Raw roster on his own.
In all honesty, WWE was doing much better with Reigns even before The Shield reunion changed everything. He was getting cocky, controversial and he could even back it up in the ring. Of course, a lot of fans were still booing him at this time, but it was nothing compared to what it used to be before those changes were made.

In the end, WWE is risking delegitimizing Reign's title run by doing The Shield reunion at the same title and it's going to come back and bite them. In fact, every time the WWE tries to portray Reigns as a top guy in the future, they are probably going to be met with, then why did he need The Shield or someone else to help him win?
