#2 Spike Dudley vs William Regal (3 seconds):

Spike Dudley faced William Regal for the European Championship on Raw
Spike Dudley faced William Regal for the European Championship on Raw

2002 was an odd year for WWE. On the one side, Shawn Michaels returned after four years away from the business to become the World Heavyweight Champion at Elimination Chamber.

On the other side, the European Championship was still a thing. The transition from the Attitude Era to the Ruthless Aggression Era was underway, and the remnants of the Attitude Era still existed.

William Regal held the Championship at this time when he had to put it up against Spike Dudley. Spike Dudley's wrestling style was never about elegance, and he favoured a more hardcore flavour to what he did in the ring.

Similarly, eager to win the Championship, he ran into the match wearing brass knuckles. When the referee turned his back to ring the bell, Spike hit William Regal across the face with the knuckles, knocking him out.

When the bell rung, the referee turned back to see Regal on the ground with Spike pinning him.

Just like that, the bout was over in the three seconds it took the referee to count the pinfall.
