They gave him a win over Roman Reigns, which was enough to signal to The WWE Universe that Balor was indeed a big deal. With that being said, it is hard to deny that a win against Roman Reigns means something today.

Another example of this was at Extreme Rules in July, where Reigns lost to a returning Bobby Lashley to and looked like a million bucks afterwards. In the end, fans might hate Roman Reigns' character, the fact that he has been over pushed at times, but even they should realize that if WWE gives a superstar a win over him, it absolutely means something.
