It's no secret that The WWE Universe doesn't like when Roman Reigns gets a win over their favourite Superstar and while that is a natural part of the business, it doesn't resonate well and makes his push look forced. When WWE puts him up against a mega heel, however, things quickly change.

That's why WWE has put Reigns up against guys like Jinder Mahal, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. They all make it impossible to root for them and thus puts the WWE Universe behind Roman Reigns by default. That's not to say there aren't a few other factors at play here, but one of the main points is to put him up against heels that people hate.
