At the moment, Samoa Joe is the most dominant heel on SmackDown as he feuds with AJ Styles for the WWE championship. Joe's dominance in the ring, ability to tell a story and his fantastic promo skills makes it difficult to find a perfect opponent for him; enter Kenta Kobashi who according to Tokyo Sports was the perfect wrestler. For many WWE fans, seeing these two dominant superstars clash would be a dream come true.
The match would bring out the best in Samoa Joe as he would go all out against the Japanese legend. This match can't happen in the WWE at the moment because Kobashi retired in 2013. However, in 2005, his dream match occurred in Ring of Honor. The fight was so awe-inspiring that it got a five-star rating from Dave Meltzer. The bout was so great that the Wrestling Observer Newsletter ranked it as the match of the year.
