Bobby Lashley's return to the company has not gone the way that anyone expected. Not a star that the casual fans were acquainted with, the way WWE has portrayed him since then has hurt his character.

Lashley is an impressive wrestler, but when it comes to his character, the company has not shown the fans why they should care about him. Since his return, he has taken part in multiple tag team matches where he has not been the focus of attention. On top of that, they took away his finishing move of the Spear, and instead of that, he uses a Delayed Vertical Suplex which is not as impressive.

The only time he has been heard to speak, he took part in an interview, which did not help his character at all. He has come across as a bland big guy, and fans don't care for such a persona.

Maybe it is too soon to say, but the best way that WWE could save his character is to turn him heel. That way he could use his size and aggression to portray a more vicious personal. He could take on stars like Strowman and Roman Reigns in convincing feuds, which would do him a lot of good.
