WWE Men’s and Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Matches will see six top stars from each division compete for a contract that would allow them to claim a shot at a world title at any time and any place of their choosing within the next 365 days. However, instead of leaving Los Angeles with the briefcase, there is a chance that Naomi may get injured and be written off weekly programming.
On last night's SmackDown, The Glow teamed up with Roxanne Perez and Giulia to face Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, and Stephanie Vaquer in a six-woman tag team match. While all the participants of the Women’s MITB Ladder Match put up a good fight, the final moments of the match saw Naomi abandoning Perez when the 23-year-old tried to tag her in.
This left The Prodigy open to be hunted down by the babyfaces. She eventually got pinned following a Riptide from Mami. Notably, the two-time WWE Women’s World Champion had her hand extended for a tag when she played the cheap trick on Perez. Since Roxanne Perez is also a heel, this act would most likely invite consequences for Naomi.
The two-time WWE NXT Women's Champion could get her revenge by injuring The Glow during the Women's MITB Ladder Match, sidelining her for the foreseeable period. While this is a big possibility, all of this is speculation at this point.
Naomi recently opened up about her WWE future
Naomi is a seasoned pro wrestling veteran with 16 years of experience under her belt. However, The Glow recently revealed that she wishes to take a big break since she and her husband, Jimmy Uso, are planning to have kids.
Speaking about it on The Nikki & Brie Show in April this year, the 37-year-old said:
"I have to step away and, you know, take care of my health [and] take care of myself. And if we're going to have kids, I have to start that process very soon. So with that on my mind, too, and on my plate, I think that makes, you know, my time left here even more special and valuable to me, and that's why I'm, like, just so passionate about what I'm doing because I really think this might be it." The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion also noted that she needs to take extra care of herself since she only has a single ovary in her body. It will be interesting to see how much longer The Glow continues to perform inside the squared circle.
