Former WWE announcer Josh Mathews not interested in possible return

Former WWE announcer Josh Mathews has said he has no intention of returning soon

Recently released WWE announcer Josh Mathews has denied reports of a return to WWE for sometime now. Reports suggested that Mathews replied to a follower on Twitter in the negative when asked whether he would return if the company would remove Byron Saxton. He also revealed that he’s not willing to come back and wants to begin calling wrestling matches again.

When asked by another fan if he had no interest in coming back to the WWE, the 33-year-old replied, "no, I wouldn't. PLEASE stop thinking those of us in that biz have zero options. I WORK TV. NOT WRESTLING."

After a few minutes, a fan tweeted that he would like a match between Mathews and JBL, to which he said – "pretty sure @JoeyStyles already beat that dude up."

He was talking about how his fellow commentator Joey Styles who had knocked out JBL on the WWE tour of Iraq in 2008. There had been reports that JBL had bullied Styles on the whole tour, which had infuriated Styles and finally caused him to snap and deck JBL leaving him with a black eye and a cut under the eye.
