WWE News: Damien Sandow booked for comedy event
Last month, Damien Sandow got released from his contract with WWE. Sandow was very much popular among the fans and the news of his release was a shock to the WWE Universe.
In his 5 year stint, the 2 Slammy-Awards-winning Sandow became a Money in the Bank contract winner and WWE Tag team Champion as well. It is believed that he was not released due to any dispute, but the WWE felt that he didn’t ‘fit’ into their plans.
After the end of his WWE career, Sandow started taking bookings from independent wrestling circuits. As of now, it seems he is not only taking bookings for wrestling shows but for other programs as well.
As per the reports of Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, the former WWE employee is now booked for a comedy show in Los Angeles next month. The name of the show is Flying Chuck, and it will feature guest hosts from the world of pro wrestling, who will tell stories from their lives.
According to wrestlezone.com, Damien Sandow will be joined by Johnny Mundo at the event. The show will also have Dolph Ziggler’s brother, Ryan Nemeth as well. The show will be taking place on July 12th and the tickets will go on sale very soon.
Some fans felt that this indicates a career change for Sandow, so the Intellectual Savior of Masses tweeted :
Woahhh! Relax this ain't a career change! Just an opportunity that presented itself. I ask you if you wanted it to happen. You responded.— Aaron(Damien Sandow) (@TheDamienSandow) June 15, 2016
