Former WWE superstar Kurt Angle denies rumours of being intoxicated in a plane

Kurt Angle said that he has been clean and sober for past one year

Former WWE superstar Kurt Angle took to twitter to dispel the rumours that he was drunk while travelling in a plane which also had some WWE writers travelling.

The former champion said that he has quit drinking and has been sober for past one year.

"Rumors are the root of evil. The truth will endure. Here is the truth!" Angle tweeted before writing the following statement:

"I'm excited to say I'm coming up on my one-year anniversary of being clean and sober. I'm very humbled. God has truly blessed me. It's been a difficult, but exciting road to living alcohol/drug free. Then some heartless individuals want to create rumors of me 'passed out' on a plane. Wow! I guess you can't take a nap on a plan when you're a recovering addict. But it only makes me want to stay clean even more!!!," said Angle on his official twitter page.

Kurt Angle is yet to sign a new contract with TNA wrestling but has turned it down. He is currently looking at other options before calling time on his wrestling career.
