Bullet Club

What’s the story?

Original Bullet Club member Tama Tonga has tweeted that "the OGs" will reunite on Twitter, posting the month that they will be back together.

In case you didn’t know…

Bullet Club is probably the biggest faction in the world of pro wrestling right now, being possibly the only thing to have mainstream success that isn't under the WWE umbrella - aside from maybe Broken Matt Hardy when he was in TNA.

You may now know Bullet Club from the T-shirts being sold in Hot Topic, and from the likes of Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, Marty Scurll and the Young Bucks - but not so long ago, the faction was led by a certain Prince Devitt, now known as Finn Balor, Karl Anderson, Bad News Fale and Tama Tonga. Later that year being joined by the Young Bucks and Luke Gallows.

Ente

Ever since The Good Brothers joined WWE, Finn Balor has strongly hinted at a Bullet Club reunion of sorts in WWE, but it has never come to fruition with only a few chance meetings between the three and a Too Sweet with fellow former leader AJ Styles taking place after their immense match at the TLC pay-per-view.

The heart of the matter

Well, one original member looks to have all but confirmed that the original Bullet Club will reunite, although we aren't too certain where or how this will take place.

Tama Tonga tweeted this earlier today:

Now, obviously this sent Twitter into meltdown, but the date leaves details a bit sketchy. Had it been next year, we could have easily believed that Tama Tonga, and possibly Bad Luck Fale, could be headed to WWE, but it would be very rare that the plans would be in place already for the fall of 2019. Could Finn and the Good Brothers be headed back to NJPW? Very unlikely, but you never know.

There is a chance this could be something completely unrelated, but it is probably the least subtle hint Tama could post about reuniting the original members.

What’s next?

Normally this is where I say we have to wait and see, but that is one LONG waiting game. Wherever the original Bullet Club is mentioned, a Finn Balor tweet is never far behind, so all eyes will now be on his Twitter, and of course on Tama Tonga's for a follow-up tweet.

Author’s take

This news completely came out of the blue and sent the world of wrestling into a frenzy. I think everyone wants to see "Balor Club" transform back into Bullet Club and add its original members.

Whether it will happen in WWE is up in the air due to the trademark. Also the question of what becomes of the current Bullet Club? If both were part of the same unit, it could be the biggest thing to happen in pro wrestling this decade, whether inside WWE or out.

Either way, this kind of stuff can only be good for the business because we all know just how big of an impact the Bullet Club has made on the wrestling world so far.
