What's the story?

It seems that Braun Strowman has gone from fighting for one Championship to challenging The Bar for two as his creative plans for WrestleMania have changed a number of times over the past few months.

In case you didn't know...

Braun Strowman has been one of the biggest stars and definitely most improved members in the Raw locker room over the past few months. There were rumors that the company was thinking of putting him into the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania following his performance at Elimination Chamber, but these were never substantiated.

It seems that Strowman has gone through a number of changes in creative plans recently, which could be why the company booked him in something of a filler feud against Elias over the past few weeks.

The heart of the matter

The original plans for Braun Strowman were revealed to have seen 'The Monster Among Men' challenging The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship. Now that Finn Balor and Seth Rollins are taking on the champion in a triple threat match, it seems that these plans have changed.

Dave Meltzer recently noted on The Wrestling Observer that the plan was for Strowman and The Bar to have a confrontation in the ring, but not an actual match. There were recent reports that claimed that The Bar didn't have a match at WrestleMania, so it seems that the company once again changed plans to include them.

It is unknown as to whether or not Strowman will be able to face the Tag Team Champions for their titles alone or if he will be forced to find a partner, General Manager Kurt Angle will definitely clear things up next week on Raw.

What's next?

Braun Strowman has already won the match to ensure a Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania, it is just unknown if he's allowed to wrestle a team alone for the titles.

Author's take

Strowman seems to be in a strange situation right now, he's one of the most popular stars and WWE has no idea what to do with him at WrestleMania. Would Strowman becoming Tag Team Champion be the right thing for Raw? Or will he be forced to find a partner and go on to dominate the Tag Team Division for a while? It could be an interesting few weeks for the former Strongman.
