What's the story?

Sasha Banks and Bayley have been teasing a feud over the past few months and following Elimination Chamber it seems obvious that the duo will continue their feud heading into WrestleMania. If Sasha and Bayley do collide on 'The Grandest Stage of Them All' then the duo will be making history.

In case you didn't know...

Banks and Bayley have made history a number of times in the past with the duo being the first women to collide in an Ironwoman match at NXT Takeover: Respect back in 2015. The two women were seen as half of the Four Horsewomen throughout their time in NXT and helped kickstart the current Women's Revolution.

It was Bayley who defeated Banks back at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn in 2015 to win her first NXT Women's Championship before she was later promoted to the main roster and her and Sasha were seen as best friends.

Their story has been a huge part of the Women's Division ever since her promotion with speculation of Banks' heel turn being rife for the past few months.

The heart of matter

Banks turned heel on Bayley inside the Elimination Chamber last weekend before Bayley then returned the favor the following night on Raw when she refused to tag in the match and left Sasha and Asuka alone.

Their feud is expected to lead up to WrestleMania and if the duo does collide then they will be the first women to fight in a none-stipulated match at WrestleMania. Over the past 33 years, the women have only had Championship or stipulated matches on the Grandest Stage of Them All, which means that the Boss 'n' Hug Connection could be set to add more history to their growing pile.

They can also add the fact that this year could be the first time in WrestleMania history that there have been three women's matches on the card.

What's next?

Now that both Banks and Bayley are out of the Women's Championship picture it seems that the next few weeks will see this epic collision continue to build and if their match back at NXT: Takeover: Brooklyn is anything to go by, the WWE Universe are in for a treat.

Author's take

Thirty years of history and WWE has never presented a none-stipulated match at WrestleMania. It seems that the company is happy to allow the women to make as much history as possible in the coming months so this match will definitely be one that they will be happy to make happen. Bayley and Banks are wrestling soulmates and if that means that there are three women's matches at this year's WrestleMania for the first time ever then the WWE Universe will be happy to accept.
