From the WWE Rumor Mill: Another possible reason for the Enzo Amore-Nia Jax storyline

What's the story?

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, Nia Jax has been placed in a storyline with Enzo Amore to keep her away from Paige and the Absolution.

In case you didn't know...

On the most recent episode of WWE Raw, Nia Jax gave Enzo Amore a lascivious look and teased a potential romance with the reigning Cruiserweight Champion. During the same show, the Absolution assaulted Alicia Fox, Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Bayley. Paige also pinned Banks in a singles match.

The heart of the matter

According to Dave Meltzer, Nia Jax and Enzo Amore will have a romance/comedy angle, allowing the former NXT standout to have a substantial role on television while the Absolution establish themselves with the fans.

Needless to say, several figures backstage fear that the presence of the formidable Jax could potentially upstage Raw's upstart trio. He also said that Nia Jax could make appearances on 205 Live in the weeks to follow.

What's next?

The on-screen interaction between Nia Jax and Enzo Amore will increase in the weeks to come, which means that "the Hybrid Athlete" will not be in the Raw Women's Championship picture for the time being.

Nia Jax has been struggling ever since she failed to capture the Raw Women's title at No Mercy. Even though this angle with Enzo Amore looks absurd on the surface, it has the potential to revitalise her character and make her a prominent part of television moving forward. But with that being said, this isn't exactly "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth.
