From the WWE Rumor Mill: Apollo suffers possible injury at WWE Live Event

Thankfully he was able to continue the match
Thankfully he was able to continue the match

What's the story?

Apollo, a member of the Titus Worldwide faction, suffered a possible injury at a WWE Live Event recently. We believe that it was legitimate because the referee threw up the 'X' sign, the sign that denotes a real injury.

Medical staff came to the ring and checked up on the WWE superstar only moments later. While Apollo was deemed fit to continue the match, he was still seen limping.

In case you know...

Apollo came up from NXT with a lot of promise, but could not really find his footing in the roster until he became a part of the Titus Worldwide group, also comprising Titus O'Neil and Dana Brooke.

While the group isn't exactly setting the world on fire, they have a comfortable spot in the roster and in all likelihood would have been part of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34.

The heart of the matter

Sheamus and Cesaro took on Titus O'Neil and Apollo and Gallows and Anderson at Kitchener, on the road to WrestleMania. As one would expect, the RAW tag champions went over in this match. As for Apollo, not only did he lose the match but there is concern over his health right now.

Apollo's injury, if more serious than one suspects, comes at a time when a lot of injured superstars are due for their WWE return. This includes big names such as Big Cass and Samoa Joe.

What's next?

It remains to be seen if Apollo's injury is serious. Based on the fact that he was allowed to continue the match, we suspect he will be fine. Let's hope, for his sake, that he doesn't miss WrestleMania.

Author's take

I have a feeling that Apollo will be okay, honestly. Let's hope that Titus Worldwide manages to find its footing on the roster, following WrestleMania.

Apollo is certainly a talented individual.
