What’s the story?

In the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, respected Pro Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer reported that three top WWE superstars in the form of Braun Strowman and current Raw Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro are currently in jeopardy of missing out from this year’s WrestleMania card.

In case you didn’t know…

For the past several months, The Monster Among Men has been on a terrorising run on the main roster and has been destroying almost every superstar who has tried to step in his path.

Strowman, however, has failed to capture the WWE Universal Championship on multiple occasions in the past and during the recently concluded Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, the former Wyatt Family member eliminated five other men only to lose out to Roman Reigns.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, the duo of Sheamus and Cesaro has been pretty dominant over the Raw tag team division as well.

Collectively known as The Bar, Sheamus and Cesaro have already defeated the likes of Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan, The Titus Worldwide, and recently earned a massive win over The Revival.

The heart of the matter

Meltzer has recently reported in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer that Sheamus, Cesaro and Strowman are currently not scheduled for matches at the upcoming WrestleMania 34 event in New Orleans, later this year.

However, as noted, one half of the Raw Tag Team Champions, Sheamus, recently sent out a tweet via his official Twitter handle and made an open challenge to any tag team who are willing to step up to the plate and challenge for the Raw Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 34.

And, many reports have also claimed that The Hardy Boyz could possibly team up against Sheamus and Cesaro, given if Jeff Hardy is cleared by WWE doctors to compete in the squared circle once again.

Meanwhile, there is also no secret to the fact that Strowman is currently serving as the backup plan for the Universal Title match between Reigns and Brock Lesnar, in case anything happens to either one of them before WrestleMania 34.

Additionally, Meltzer also noted that there is a strong chance that these three Superstars could end up playing non-wrestling roles during the show.

What’s next?

WrestleMania 34 is scheduled to take place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, in New Orleans, Louisiana, on the 8th of April, 2018.

Several matches have already been confirmed for the show, such as AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Title, Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins vs The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Title, and Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle vs Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in a mixed tag team match.

Author’s Take

Personally, I think that both The Bar and Strowman should be a part of this year’s WrestleMania card, given the fact that they’ve been doing brilliantly well in the main roster for the past few months.
