We've received more proof that Owens will no longer be on SmackDown Live

What's the story?

We reported not long ago, that Kevin Owens was done with SmackDown Live that he would be transferred to the red brand shortly after his match with Shane McMahon at Hell in a Cell. Now we bring you further evidence that points to this story being true.

Here is the link advertising a forthcoming episode of RAW, live from the Moda Center in Portland. Among the names advertised is one Kevin Owens.

In case you didn't know...

Kevin Owens, a former Universal Champion on RAW, transferred to SmackDown Live shortly after WrestleMania 33 and has primarily been a part of the US Title picture on the blue brand.

He is set to go one-on-one with the Commissioner of the SmackDown Live, Shane McMahon inside Hell in a Cell at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. It seems like this may be his final feud in brand blue.

The heart of the matter

We quote the advertisement, verbatim, for your convenience:

WWE Monday Night RAW comes to Portland and the Moda Center October 16th, 2017. Featuring Superstars Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, Sasha Banks and many more!

This is further indication that not only will Kevin Owens move to RAW, he will do so immediately following the Hell in a Cell match. We don't know if the stipulation of him quitting SmackDown Live if he loses will be worked into the match, but that may be the case!

What's next?

With one week to go before Hell in a Cell comes around, we wonder what will prompt the change from SmackDown Live to RAW for the devious and conniving Owens. This week of action should be very interesting indeed.

Author's take

I'm not sure how I feel about a shift so soon. There were so many feuds that Owens could have had, including one with Bobby Roode that I was quite keen on seeing for the very first time. I hope Owens doesn't get lost in the shuffle on RAW, with the abundance of top-tier talent there.
