From the WWE Rumor Mill: Great news for the NXT brand on WrestleMania weekend
Congratulations to Triple H and crew!
What's the story?
WrestleMania 34 is fast approaching and much like us, we're certain that you're super excited too. While WrestleMania 34 is guaranteed to be a grand spectacle, the weekend kicks off with a solid dose of NXT.
Cageside Seats has reported that there's some incredible news coming from the camp of the WWE developmental brand. NXT may be the first brand to sell out all its seats for the weekend with TakeOver: New Orleans!
In case you didn't know...
WrestleMania weekend is usually a packed affair. With Axxess, The Hall of Fame, the RAW and SmackDown Live after WrestleMania and the grand event itself, there's a lot for fans to look forward to, if they do decide to make the journey and watch the grandest spectacle in sports entertainment.
NXT TakeOvers take place the night before the Big 4 pay-per-views, and this time, there's a pretty packed card indeed.
The heart of the matter
Without really going into spoilers, we'll just say that the NXT TakeOver card was so attractive that fans booked their tickets way in advance for the show. NXT TakeOver events are known to over-deliver and remind fans of why they became wrestling fans in the first place, with nail-biting excitement and tremendous in-ring action too.
Unfortunately, rumours also indicate that the SmackDown Live after WrestleMania is not selling nearly as well as the other events planned for the weekend. SmackDown Live has seen a dip in quality of late, and we can only hope that creative will step it up after WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.
The coming weeks of NXT television will definitely get us excited for NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, as the men and women of NXT step up their game.
I'm really excited about NXT TakeOver: New Orleans. I know it coincides with UFC 223, with the big Ferguson vs Khabib fight, but I'm choosing to watch NXT TakeOver live, among the two exciting events.
I wonder which new superstar we'll see at ringside, at TakeOver: New Orleans.
