What's the story?

Jeff Hardy injured his shoulder in September during a match on RAW, and since then, he has been off WWE programming and underwent successful rotator cuff surgery in October.

According to reports by Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, Jeff Hardy has been cleared to return to action by his doctors, last month. Now may be the most opportune moment for him to be medically cleared with the WrestleMania 34 pay-per-view right around the corner.

In case you didn't know...

Jeff Hardy and his brother Matt returned to WWE at last year's WrestleMania, winning the WWE Raw Tag Team titles.

Jegg suffered an injury in September during an episode of RAW. He was successfully operated in October. Apart from his brief appearance at RAW's 25th Anniversary Show, he has remained away from WWE programming since his injury.

In his absence, his brother Matt reverted to his Impact Wrestling 'Woken' persona and began a rivalry with Bray Wyatt. Their rivalry has not received positive reactions from WWE fans, though, on this week's episode of RAW, Matt Hardy announced the return of the Hardy Compound, where an 'Ultimate Deletion' Match is set to take place between him and Bray Wyatt.

Matt Hardy also announced on Twitter that Ultimate Deletion would see the rest of the Hardy contingent, but did not mention Jeff Hardy.

The heart of the matter

According to reports by Ryan Satin, Jeff Hardy has been medically cleared to wrestle and is waiting to be called back by WWE.

His surgeon has cleared him to wrestle, and the Charismatic Enigma was recently evaluated by WWE's doctors in Birmingham, Alabama. According to reports, the evaluation went well, and Hardy may soon return to WWE.

What's next?

With the Ultimate Deletion and WrestleMania 34 just around the corner, a return to wrestling would be ideal for Jeff Hardy. Be it as Brother Nero, or as Jeff, WWE fans would welcome him back to the ring.

Author's take

Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy's feud has fallen short of the potential that it had. The possible addition of Jeff to the mix would liven things up and might help change the fate of Matt's Broken persona.
