Kane is now likely to be taking some time off from WWE TV

What’s the story?

Respected Pro Wrestling expert Dave Meltzer recently mentioned in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE veteran Kane has most likely suffered an injury once again, which could possibly lead to 'The Red Big Machine' taking some time off from WWE TV yet again.

In case you didn’t know…

Former WWE World Champion Kane has been currently working under the WWE on a much lighter schedule and mostly on a part-time basis. Following 10 months of inactivity, Kane finally made his return to the WWE last year during the month of October and also during this year’s Royal Rumble event, 'The Red Big Machine' got a crack at Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship when he competed in a triple threat match at the Wells Fargo Center, also featuring 'The Monster Among Men' Braun Strowman.

The heart of the matter

As noted during the triple threat match at the Royal Rumble PPV, not only did Kane miss a few big spots in the WWE Universal Title match but also he was barely able to do anything on RAW the very next night in his Last Man Standing match against Braun Strowman. According to Dave Meltzer, the sole reason why Kane has been involved in such less amount of altercation in the ring is that 'The Red Big Machine' is either working hurt or is running out of gas as an in-ring performer.

Also, as seen on last week’s episode of Raw, WWE did an angle were Kane was taken to a medical facility and hasn’t “been heard” from since and the current belief is that Kane’s next hiatus from the WWE will be due to the upcoming Knox County election.

What’s next?

Following Kane’s latest escape from the medical facility, it indicated towards the fact that 'The Red Big Machine' might get involved in a big storyline with Braun Strowman. However, that seems like an afterthought because it now seems like Kane will be getting back into the political world once again as he gets all set to take another leave from WWE.

Author’s Take

At the age of 50, it is certain that Kane is having a hard time keeping up with the athleticism that his fellow WWE colleagues comprise of, however, as true fans of this business we should always respect Kane’s dedication towards the wrestling business and WWE.
