In case you didn't know…

On October 10, 2017, several reports on the internet suggested that former NXT Champion Neville had seemingly decided to walk out of the WWE and appeared to have left the promotion due to him being upset with his position in the company.

The incident apparently took place after Neville lost the WWE Cruiserweight Championship to Enzo Amore, however, shortly afterwards, it was confirmed by WWE that Neville is still a part of the active WWE roster. On November 13, it was reported that there had been "positive discussions" between himself and some company officials, suggesting that he'd be potentially on his way back to the WWE.

The heart of the matter

Mike Johnson of PWInsider recently yielded some significant amount of details regarding former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville and his current status with the WWE.

According to Johnson, he believes that Neville is still sitting at home as the WWE are refusing to let him leave due to his current deal with the promotion and "The King of the Cruiserweights" is also apparently figuring a way to get out of his existing contract.

However, Johnson did also mention and speculate the possibility that Neville may also be figuring a way back into the WWE if that is still a viable option.

"Yeah, he's hanging out at home, waiting to figure out how he's going to get out of his WWE contract. Or if he's going to come up with some way to come back - we'll see if that ever happens," Johnson stated.

What's next?

Right now, there are no signs of a potentuial WWE return for Neville while we also haven't heard anything from the British star over the past few months either. Only time will tell what the future holds for the 31-year-old.

Author's take

Personally, I hope the WWE bring Neville back and allow him to be a part of the main roster, as opposed to keeping him in the CW Division. A probable move to SmackDown Live would certainly be amazing otherwise deciding to join Ring of Honor or NJPW is also an exciting prospect.
