From the WWE Rumor Mill: Miz to receive 'monster push' heading into Wrestlemania

What's the story?

The Miz had a great RAW 25, appearing in one of the better segments during the show and defeating Roman Reigns to become an eight-time Intercontinental Champion, and according to the Wrestling Observing Newsletter, things are going to get a whole lot better for the WWE Superstar.

In case you didn't know...

The Miz dropped the title to Roman Reigns a little over a month ago, so that he could go and film the next WWE Studios fronted Marine film. Upon his return, he attacked Reigns and stated his intention to win the title back. And he then did exactly that at RAW 25, defeating Reigns with an exposed turnbuckle and a Skull-Crushing Finale.

The heart of the matter

The Miz has quietly earned himself a great reputation within the WWE, with many now considering him to be one of the best talents the company has, and there's certainly no denying how good he has been as of late.

As a result, it seems that the WWE has big things planned for the new Intercontinental Champion. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that the company is about to give him a monster push, in which he's currently in the early stages of.

The report adds that The Miz is scheduled for a major Wrestlemania match but it's currently known who that might be against, but nevertheless, The Miz is expected to be a top guy going into 'Mania with the new 'Miz and Mrs' show with Maryse possibly tying in with it.

What's next?

Well, The Miz is back as mid-card champion, The Miztourage are supporting him every step of the way and things are looking good for him. I fully expect that he isn't done with 'The Big Dog' Roman Reigns though and will likely remain a thorn in Reigns' side for the foreseeable future.

I've certainly been among the many that feel that The Miz deserves the Universal Title on the back of the work he's put in over the last year. So this is definitely welcome news.
