From the WWE Rumor Mill: Neville is reportedly "gone" from WWE

Is it time to say goodbye?
Is it time to say goodbye?

What's the story?

On a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Neville was "100% gone" from WWE. However, the promotion is yet to issue an official statement on the situation. Quotes courtesy of Stillrealtous.com.

In case you didn't know...

Neville reportedly walked out of the October 09, 2017, episode of Raw — where Enzo Amore dropped the Cruiserweight Championship to Kalisto. Speculation about the British Superstar's status with the company only intensified after Amore claimed that he made the man once known as PAC quit WWE, at a Live Event in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The heart of the matter

While Dave Meltzer appeared confident that Neville wouldn't return, he also added that the former NXT Champion hadn't come to terms with WWE for his release. "He’s gotta work out– [Neville and WWE have to] work out the release and what terms they give him for his release and everything like that. I don’t know anything new on that more than that,” he stated.

What's next?

If this story is true, an official statement from WWE can't be far behind. Without, arguably, its best performer, the Cruiserweight Division will have to build around the likes of Enzo Amore and Kalisto for the time being.

Author's take

Neville is still one of the best performers in the world, and he will certainly make an impact on the independent circuit if he secures his release. If this truly is the end of his WWE run, it is a pity that the Newcastle upon Tyne native didn't receive an opportunity to build a Hall of Fame career.
