Enzo Amore’s heel turn at No Mercy got a lot of fans talking about the Cruiserweight Division, but apparently the decision was made just before his match with Neville.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the decision for a double turn between Neville and Amore was planned before their match at No Mercy.

The double turn could’ve been decided following Amore being booed on 205 Live when he went face to face with Neville, but that’s pure speculation.

Amore was dominated by Neville for most of their match at No Mercy but turned the tides when he took the championship belt and disrupted a potential countout.

The referee demanded Amore hand the championship over and he complied, but he hit Neville with a low blow while the referee wasn’t looking and pinned him to win the Cruiserweight Championship.

Amore addressed the entire Cruiserweight Division on the Raw after No Mercy and was brutally attacked by Neville despite being informed of a no-contact clause between the two.

Strowman and several 205 Live competitors attacked Amore after Raw went off the air and made it clear that Amore doesn’t have any allies in the Cruiserweight Division.

Neville attacking Amore on Raw apparently broke the no-contact clause between both men so there may not be a rematch between the two for TLC.
