What's the story?

Nia Jax and Enzo Amore were part of a storyline on Monday Night Raw and 205 Live before his suspension and release earlier this week. It seems that Nia isn't waiting around when it comes to her former storyline boyfriend.

In case you didn't know...

Nia Jax and Enzo Amore have been part of a number of backstage segments over the past few months with Nia finally attacking Cedric Alexander as part of the 205 Live event a few days ago. It seemed as though WWE has some big plans for the couple moving forward, but his release now means that the storyline has had to come to an end and Nia needs to move forward and focus on her wrestling career.

Enzo and Nia went on for a number of months but it seems that it was finally reaching a point where Nia was going to help her boyfriend to continue to be the most dominant force on 205 Live but it seems that this won't be the case now and the company need to find a new storyline for Nia.

The heart of the matter

Nia Jax isn't the kind of woman to wait around and since Enzo Amore is definitely not returning, she has switched her focus to another member of the 205 Live locker room.

Drew Gulak is currently pushing to become the General Manager of 205 Live moving forward, so it could be interesting to see if Nia will decide to move towards Gulak in the future and continue the storyline that WWE had planned, only with this cruiserweight competitor instead.

What's next?

The 205 Live General Manager is expected to be announced next week, which could put everything in perspective and allow Nia's potential storyline with Drew Gulak to fit in with the 205 Live show. Nia herself is set to make history this weekend as part of the first ever Women's Royal Rumble and is currently one of the women that many on the roster see as the biggest threat in the match.

Author's take

It's actually quite sad that Enzo's release has affected his storyline with Nia because it was thought that it would finally lead to something of substance for the former NXT star, who has been pushed towards the Women's Championship scene over the past few months but has never actually held the gold.

Hopefully, WWE will find a way to continue the storyline and allow Nia to have something meaningful to do over the next few months.
