From the WWE Rumor Mill: Nia Jax confirms the reason why she was out of action?

RA
RAW's female powerhouse is expected to make her return soon

What's the story?

Nia Jax retweeted a tweet about her return to RAW on 30th October. The source also cited the reason for her recent absence from WWE television.

In case you didn't know...

Nia Jax has been absent for the last few weeks of WWE television. There were rumours floating around from Sports Illustrated that Nia Jax was told to lose to Sasha Banks clean at TLC, which made her angry. After advice from The Rock, she walked off. However, this rumour seems fairly baseless.

For one, Nia Jax doesn't have the leverage or star power to be able to walk out and get away with it. Secondly, X-Pac/Sean Waltman was one of the first to shoot down the rumour as completely untrue.

Another source mentioned that Nia Jax had asked for a leave of absence and it was granted to her because there were no creative plans for her at that period of time. While it may not necessarily be true, it does make a lot more sense than the above-mentioned rumour.

The heart of the matter

Nia Jax retweeted the following Instagram link which explained that RAW's female powerhouse was out with a back injury and that she is expected to return on the October 30th edition of RAW:

It was reported earlier as well that Nia Jax would be returning to RAW tonight(courtesy PWInsider). Her role will likely be a spot on the RAW Women's Survivor Series team. She will be teaming up with Alicia Fox (Captain), Bayley, Sasha Banks and presumably Mickie James (unless Asuka takes that spot).

Nia Jax was also part of last year's RAW Survivor Series team. She was eliminated by Becky Lynch via submission, marking the first time she was submitted on the main roster.

What's next?

Nia Jax will have an interesting few months ahead of her. Hopefully, she's utilized to her fullest potential once she comes back. It seems inevitable that she will taste gold at some point in the near future.

Author's take

It's good to hear that rumours of Nia Jax walking out are untrue. If it was a small back problem then it's perfect timing for WWE to have her back for the Survivor Series team. Whatever criticism she gets, there is no denying that Nia Jax brings a different presence to the team, and having a powerhouse always makes the dynamic of matches more interesting.
