What’s the story?

As reported by Cageside Seats, Aleister Black is expected to get an even bigger push soon. Black is already having a fantastic stay in NXT. His matches are unique due to his character work and always delivers inside the ring.

In case you didn't know...

Aleister Black, formerly known as Tommy End, has wrestled in promotions such as Insane Championship Wrestling, Progress Wrestling, and Revolution Pro Wrestling. He made his NXT debut last year at NXT Takeover: Orlando in April and defeated Andrade Cien Almas.

The heart of the matter

Black is already a force to reckon with and is still undefeated in NXT singles competition.

His match with The Velveteen Dream at NXT TakeOver: War Games was a contender for NXT Match of the Year Award and he also won several WWE NXT 2017 Year-End Award which includes Rivalry of the Year along with Velveteen Dream, Competitor of the Year and Breakout Star of the Year.

According to Cageside Seats, WWE are said to be extremely high on NXT's Aleister Black and is expected to get an even bigger push soon.

What’s next?

It is almost certain that Johnny Gargano will be out of NXT title picture after the return of Tommaso Ciampa and they will continue their feud.

Aleister Black just had another 'Match of the Year' contest with Adam Cole at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia in an extreme rules match and is not in any feud assuming the rivalry with Adam Cole culminates.

According to spoilers from NXT's February 1, 2018, tapings at Center Stage, Aleister Black cut a promo saying that the devil that drives him is the NXT Championship which looks like the next program for him.

Author’s Take

It's great to see that WWE can see the potential Black has. Since Black is expected to get a push and considering the way they're booking him, I think he will be next in line for NXT Championship and could become NXT Champion at NXT Takeover: New Orleans in April during Wrestlemania weekend.
