From The WWE Rumor Mill: Major change to be made to TLC main event

The WWE
The WWE Universe was buzzing at this sight at the end of Raw this week...

What's the story?

Dave Meltzer's latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter talks about one of the main events scheduled for Tables Ladders and Chairs. Meltzer states that Braun Strowman could be added to The Shield reunion match.

In case you didn't know...

The end of this week's Monday Night Raw was an exciting one for fans of The Shield. The final segment showed Roman Reigns in the locker room selling the beating he took from The Miz, Cesaro, and Sheamus.

Dean Ambrose would enter and stare at Reigns, who would get up and do the same. As the camera panned out, the crowd in attendance started to go nuts as Seth Rollins entered the frame.

There were no words said, everyone, nodded their heads as if they knew what they had to do.

The heart of the matter

Meltzer believes that Strowman could be added to make it a four-on-three handicap match, or he could replace The Miz in the match. If he replaced The Miz, it would free up the WWE Intercontinental Champion to defend his title at Tables Ladders & Chairs.

He believes that Strowman's interaction with Ambrose and Rollins over the past couple of weeks may lead to the decision. At this time, Strowman isn't in a feud and doesn't have a match scheduled for Tables Ladders & Chairs at the time of this writing.

What's next?

Before Tables Ladders & Chairs, the WWE will travel to Detroit, Michigan this Sunday for Hell In A Cell. There are two main events on this pay per view headlined by Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens in a Falls Count Anywhere Match with the cell included, and Shinsuke Namakura vs. Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship.

Author's take...

There are a couple of reasons why I don't think (and also don't like Meltzer's idea) the WWE is adding Braun Strowman to this match.

The first is that they have portrayed Strowman as a babyface more and more over the past few months. The latest example was coming out to destroy Enzo Amore after Raw went off the air.

Also, the crowd isn't going to boo The Shield, and the WWE has booked Strowman so well the past year. I think it would be a mistake putting him in this match. They are better suited to feed someone to Strowman in a singles match instead.
