From the WWE Rumor Mill: Potential 6-man tag match lined up for Monday Night Raw

The M
The Miz returned on Monday Night Raw with a bang this week

What's the story?

Dave Meltzer discussed next week's edition of WWE Raw on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer said that a six-man tag match featuring Miz & The Miztourage facing the "Champions Club" of Seth Rollins, Jason Jordan, and Roman Reigns could be in the works.

In case you didn't know...

Roman Reigns defeated The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the November 20th edition of Monday Night Raw. It was the last time The Miz appeared on Raw in 2017 as he was off to film the next instalment of The Marine.

The heart of the matter

On this particular edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer believes that the attack on Rollins, Jordan, and Reigns at the end of Raw was done to set up the six-man tag the following week. Roman would send The Miz an ominous message on Twitter following the attack:

It seems certain that The Miz will have to face "The Big Dog" and potentially accept the consequences one week out from the big Raw 25 show when he gets his rematch for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

On the other hand, Jason Jordan tried to do too much in their six-man tag match with Balor Club this week; which resulted in Rollins taking a Coup de Grace from Finn before taking the loss. Expect Jordan to make more mistakes next week; which could give The Miz and The Miztourage a huge win.

What's next?

San Antonio, Texas will be the scene for the next edition of Monday Night Raw on January 15th at the AT&T Center. It'll be the final Raw before the special Raw 25 episode that takes place at the Manhattan Center and Barclays Center in New York City on January 22nd.

Author's take

It's definitely the logical match to put together before the title match between Miz and Reigns. The six-man tag allows Miz to be the cowardly heel that he's good at while he tries to avoid Reigns at all costs.
