From the WWE rumor mill:  Potential NXT debut date for War Machine

Hanso
Raymond Rowe and Hanson form War Machine, a dominant tag team in Ring Of Honor...

What's the story?

On a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed a tag team that has been in the rumor mill this week in War Machine. Sportskeeda previously reported that War Machine, along with Ricochet, will be a part of the signing class next month to NXT.

In case you didn't know...

War Machine formed in 2014 and have wrestled for several different promotions. Their biggest accomplishments include winning the Ring Of Honor World Tag Team Championships once and the IWGP Tag Team Championships twice.

The heart of the matter...

During the recent television tapings in Philadelphia after the Final Battle pay per view, it seems like War Machine did a farewell segment. More than likely those television tapings would take the Ring Of Honor television show into the middle of January.

Meltzer states that once Hanson and Rowe pass their physical, they will head to NXT in January once they complete their obligations with New Japan Pro Wrestling. At Wrestle Kingdom 12, War Machine will team up with Michael Elgin to face the Bullet Club, Chaos, Suzuki-gun, and Taguchi Japan in a Gauntlet Match for the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championship.

As long as everything falls into place, Meltzer states that you can expect War Machine to debut at the television tapings that take place after NXT Takeover: Philadelphia. Those tapings are set to occur at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia on February 1st.

What's next?

Next up for War Machine is the previously mentioned Six-Man Tag Match at the Wrestle Kingdom 12. That will take place from the Tokyo Dome on January 4th.

The main events of the Wrestle Kingdom 12 are Chris Jericho v. Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Championship and Kazuchika Okada v. Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

Author's take...

Prepare to get excited for War Machine. These two big men can do some amazing things in the ring. I'm already excited for the potential of matches with SAnitY and the Authors of Pain on NXT, and possibly the Bludgeon Brothers on the main roster potentially.
