The Shield
This could be a sight to behold in the next episode of RAW

What's the story?

The latest episode of RAW certainly whetted the appetite of its viewers as the company teased a reunion of The Shield with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose meeting up with Roman Reigns.

Now, the poster for WWE TLC has been shared by Wrestling Inc and it does seem to point to a return of “The Shield” at the pay-per-view.

In case you didn't know...

The Shield was one of the most dominant stables in recent years with the trio laying waste to most of the roster. The sight of watching each member come up from the crowd sent shivers down the spines of most.

The trio picked up impressive victories against a number of tag teams but Seth Rollins betrayed his partners in 2014 when he sided with Triple H, effectively ending the run and starting the run of Ambrose and Reigns as singles competitors.

The heart of the matter

The group might not have reunited officially but Wrestling Inc claims that the trio will be facing off against The Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus at TLC.

The WWE TLC poster is giving something away...

The Miz has been on the back of Reigns for a couple of weeks now, while Ambrose and Rollins, who are the RAW tag team champions, have been involved in a bitter feud with the “Celtic Warrior” and the “Swiss Superman”.

What's next?

TLC is stated to take place on 22 October but The Shield might just reunite on television in the upcoming RAW episode.

Reigns was beaten up not only by The Miz but also Sheamus and Cesaro as they mocked The Shield and did the trademark pose.

Author's take

Each member of The Shield did have a great singles run as they picked up WWE Champion titles but a reunion would certainly lift the crowd and get a lot of buzz from every member of the WWE Universe.

Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose were devastating when they worked together and with TLC not too far away, we could end up seeing a lot of destruction in the weeks before the pay-per-view.
