What’s the story?

Per PWInsider, WWE’s Starrcade live event reportedly did impressive attendance numbers.

Besides, the possibility of presenting the event again is also being considered; and the WWE will likely return with Starrcade next year.

In case you didn’t know…

The WWE recently decided to bring back the iconic ‘Starrcade’ event, albeit as a house show and not PPV.

Starrcade was popularized by the NWA and later the WCW, and is considered to be near and dear to the hearts of the professional wrestling community.

The heart of the matter

One ought to note that fan and critic response to the WWE Starrcade live event has been fantastic thus far, and the event featured several great matchups including the much-talked AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal matchup.

WWE Starrcade took place at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina this past November 25th, and per industry experts, the attendance for the event was considerably impressive. In fact, the attendance numbers for WWE Starrcade were the best for the promotion in the Greensboro, North Carolina market in a long period of time.

Furthermore, the belief is that the WWE may indeed bring Starrcade back next year.

What’s next?

The WWE heads full steam ahead with RAW and SmackDown; building up to the Royal Rumble PPV in January of next year.

The WWE’s Starrcade house show will perhaps go down as one of the most underrated shows of the 2017 calendar year.
