From the WWE rumor mill:  Spoiler on the women's Royal Rumble Match participants revealed on Total Divas?

E
We are just a little over two weeks away from the very first women's Royal Rumble Match!

What's the story?

Two names that the WWE has not confirmed yet for the first-ever women's Royal Rumble Match were leaked on this week's edition of Total Divas on the E! Network. Both Nikki and Brie Bella are expected to be among the 30 competitors.

In case you didn't know...

The WWE announced that this upcoming landmark in women's wrestling will have the same rules as the men's Royal Rumble match. There will be 30 competitors, you must be thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the floor to be eliminated, and the winner will get a championship match at WrestleMania.

The heart of the matter

The Bella Twins sat down with the WWE Senior Director of Talent Relations Mark Carrano. The result of the talk was that the Bellas would return to the WWE for the Rumble and continue to be a part of the storylines through WrestleMania 34 in April.

Brie has not wrestled since WrestleMania 32 in 2016 when she took part in a 10-women tag match featuring the cast of Total Divas against Lana, Naomi, Tamina, Summer Rae, and Emma.

What's next?

According to the WWE website, 16 women have officially declared for the Royal Rumble leaving several spots for surprises. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for the latest rumours regarding those surprises.

Author's take

It's interesting how that might have slipped through the cracks, or the WWE may have known what they were doing all along, and it would get people talking.

Ever since Stephanie McMahon made the official announcement, many expected Nikki and Brie to be among the 30 competitors, so it doesn't come as a surprise. It's been rumoured for months that Brie is preparing for a return to the ring after a two-year hiatus to focus on her family and her first child.
