What's the story?

According to PWInsider, WWE NXT Superstars Aleister Black and No Way Jose were recently injured at an NXT live event, and both men have now been given some time off in order to recover from their respected injuries.

In case you didn't know...

Aleister Black is one of the top Superstars in NXT right now and is also holding an undefeated streak in NXT.

Black has had some of the best matches in the developmental brand, including his matches against Hideo Itami, Velveteen Dream, Andrade "Cien" Almas.

No Way Jose, on the other hand, has lost his momentum lately. The 29-year-old was one of the most solid performers in the NXT mid-card but as 2017 gradually progressed, he found himself demoted to the lower cards of the NXT roster.

The heart of the matter

PWInsider reports that both Black and Jose have suffered injuries over the past weekend, during their matches in a house show/NXT Live event.

However, the injuries are not serious, but the WWE has decided to give both men some time off.

The injuries to both men were also the reason why Undisputed Era leader Adam Cole wrestled twice in one night (first against Chad Lail and then against Lars Sullivan) during the recent NXT live event show in Bel Air, Maryland.

What's next?

As reported, both Black and Jose's injuries are not serious and the two Superstars are expected to make their return sooner rather than later.

Aleister Black himself has been on a roll and will look to continue his undefeated streak as soon as he makes his return to TV. No Way Jose, however, will have a different mindset as he looks to rebuild his lost momentum.

Author's Take

I believe that both Aleister Black and No Way Jose will be back on-screen for the next edition of NXT, and I also hope that they recover from their injuries as soon as possible.
