From the WWE Rumor mill: Top WrestleMania match may not happen?

Is the dream match truly not happening?

What's the story?

According to PWInsider, The Undertaker will definitely be at WrestleMania, as confirmed by their sources. However, according to their sources, it is "very possible" that The Undertaker and John Cena won't actually have a match at Wrestlemania, as baffling as that might be.

In case you didn't know...

For weeks, John Cena has come out on RAW, calling out The Undertaker. Cena implored Taker to come out and answer his challenge repeatedly, reiterating how he didn't want to go to WrestleMania as a fan.

The Undertaker is yet to appear or give any sort of indication acknowledging John Cena's challenge. Most fans thought Undertaker was going to show up this week on RAW but were left surprised when the Deadman didn't show up.

The heart of the matter

PWInsider is reporting that even though Undertaker will be at WrestleMania, the match between Undertaker and John Cena could be off. Their sources are saying that instead of a match, Taker and Cena could have some sort of non-official confrontation instead.

After weeks of build and promos by John Cena on the subject, a lot of fans could end up seeing this as a big disappointment.

What's next?

We will find out if Undertaker and John Cena do end up having a match this Sunday at WrestleMania. Regardless of the match, both WWE legends will definitely be making an appearance at New Orleans.

Author's take

If Cena and Undertaker don't have a match at WrestleMania, it begs the question, why have Cena cut so many long promos in the weeks ahead of WrestleMania? Couldn't that time have been better utilized to promote some of the matches that will actually happen?

Even though we may not get the match, I still believe that the face-off will not disappoint.
