What’s the story?

As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both Triple H and Kurt Angle reportedly performed at Survivor Series despite being hurt.

Apparently, Triple H and Kurt Angle sustained a few injuries during the WWE’s European tour, but competed nonetheless.

In case you didn’t know…

Kurt Angle competed in his first WWE PPV in over a decade at TLC earlier this year, and has also served as a substitute for Roman Reigns in the Shield, back when the Big Dog was down with the mumps.

Besides, Triple H too served as a sub for Reigns, as part of the Shield at WWE house shows during the European tour.

The heart of the matter

In reference to their respective in-ring returns after a lengthy hiatus, Triple H and Angle also competed in the traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series matchup for Team RAW this past Sunday night.

Although both Superstars seemed relatively fit during their performances, it’s now being noted that Kurt Angle’s leg which was heavily taped up for the match; was done so owing to the fact that he was working hurt. Furthermore, Triple H is also said to have been wrestling at Survivor Series despite dealing with a few injuries.

Angle is said to have sustained an injury during a European tour live event matchup, whereas Triple H was also hurt at the house shows during promotion’s recent European tour.

What’s next?

Triple H and Kurt Angle presently serve as authority figures on WWE’s RAW brand. Fans can expect them to compete in a higher number of matches as the WWE approaches the Royal Rumble which will signal the commencement of the road to Wrestlemania.

The extent to which these nagging injuries may affect their role on WWE programming in the days to come, remains to be seen.

This just goes to show how great these performers are, and the insane level of efforts that they put in for the sake of the fans’ entertainment.
