What's the story?
The WWE bringing Triple H back for Survivor Series seems to be part of much bigger plans for ‘The Game’ and a couple of other superstars.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter now reports that The Game will face two other RAW superstars in Kurt Angle and Braun Strowman in two big singles matches.
In case you didn't know...
Triple H was brought back to become the fifth member of the RAW team for Survivor Series and he even led the side to victory over their SmackDown Live counterparts.
He did pedigree Kurt Angle, the captain of the RAW side, before getting into an altercation with the other RAW survivor, Braun Strowman.
The heart of the matter
The report suggests that Hunter will be having a huge role to play at the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 34.
The Game would face Angle and then Strowman, even though Angle and Triple H have not looked all that great in the ring in recent weeks.
The Angle-Triple H match was planned as soon as the Olympic Gold Medalist returned to in-ring competition and it is expected to be a big match, even if the pair aren’t going to look the best in it.
Additionally, Triple H will put over to Strowman and ensure that ‘The Monster Among Men’ is one of the two babyfaces in the WWE with Roman Reigns after WrestleMania is done.
What's next?
Triple H had a confrontation with Angle and Strowman in the last episode of RAW and it will be interesting to note how this plays out in the upcoming episode.
Author's take
Triple H will be wrestling on the India tour but a match between him and Angle certainly will bring back memories of the good old days as the two legends have a go in the ring.
Strowman should be given the push and him facing Hunter could be a bloodbath given how dominant he has been in recent weeks but keeping this match for WrestleMania might not be the smartest move by WWE.
‘The Monster’ should be fighting for the WWE Universal title but maybe with a victory over Hunter, he would be the top wrestler on RAW and pick up the title that should be his. However, we all know Roman Reigns is destined for the WrestleMania 34 Universal title spot.
