What's the story?

Cageside Seats have given a possible update on the outcome of the Steel Cage match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at the Greatest Royal Rumble, for the WWE Universal Championship.

In case you didn’t know…

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns went head to head earlier this month at WrestleMania 34 for the Universal Champion. While Reigns was largely expected to walk away with the top prize, it was Lesnar who came out on top after a brutal beat down on The Big Dog.

A rematch was announced between the two behemoths at the Greatest Royal Rumble set to take place this Friday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The heart of the matter

The speculation going around since his loss at WrestleMania, is that Reigns will finally have his moment at the Greatest Royal Rumble. One more strong reason to believe this is the fact that The Big Dog is indeed very popular in the Middle East, and is sure to get a positive reaction from the crowd.

However, the latest report by Cageside Seats speculates that WWE is yet to decide who will walk out of the Greatest Royal Rumble with the Universal Championship.

The WrestleMania outcome shocked almost everyone in the WWE Universe, as it was suspected that the entire storyline was to culminate in the coronation of Reigns as the top guy of the company.

It now looks like it might not be the Big Dog's time even at the Greatest Royal Rumble. The match has become almost unpredictable at this point.

What's next?

The segment between Lesnar and Reigns on the GRR go-home Raw was underwhelming, with the two only exchanging a few words before parting ways. The duo will collide this Friday inside a Steel Cage, with the Universal Title on the line.

Author's take

It looks like WWE is trying to make the result of the bout as unpredictable as possible. The event itself is set to be an extravagant one with a loaded card, and hopefully, Lesnar and Reigns will be able to put on an engaging fight.
