What's the story?
A huge match was set up at the NBC Upfronts recently. Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey will clash for the RAW Women's Championship at Money in the Bank.
According to Cageside Seats, Nia Jax is rumoured to win the match according to the betting odds. They do specify that this is not 'expected to hold', implying that there could be a change down the line.
In case you didn't know...
Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania to become the RAW Women's Champion for the very first time in her WWE career. At the same event, Ronda Rousey had a great first showing, defeating Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a Mixed Tag Team match.
This will be Ronda Rousey's first shot at the championship only months into her wrestling career. There have been mixed reactions with Rousey getting a title shot so early!
The heart of the matter
I do feel that WWE have booked themselves into a corner by putting Ronda Rousey in the title picture already. As impressive as she has been as a competitor, it may be far too soon to have her hold the big prize.
At the same time, they may not want Ronda Rousey to look weak on such a grand stage considering how much hype there is around her at the moment. It will be interesting to see how the match does eventually play out. For now, Rousey is not the favourite according to current betting odds.
What's next?
The fallout for the Ronda Rousey-Nia Jax segment has been teased on RAW. Will one of the two women go heel? Will Stephanie McMahon or Little Miss Bliss get involved in this feud to make it even more interesting?

There's no way Ronda Rousey suffers a clean pin already. I expect interference from Stephanie McMahon.
