Per PWInsider, the WWE is likely to bring back Sgt. Slaughter for its ‘Tribute To The Troops’ show.

Apparently, the WWE Hall of Famer is the only legend who has been roped in for the event, as of now; with a few others probably being added in the days to come.

In case you didn’t know…

Sgt. Slaughter was one of the most popular characters in the WWE.

Now 69 years of age—born Robert Remus—the man famously portrayed the Sgt. Slaughter character; with the character’s peak being the 1980s and early ‘90s.

The heart of the matter

The WWE often ropes in Sgt. Slaughter for events associated with national integrity, particularly in WWE’s Tribute To The Troops event crafted specifically for the US.

The vast majority of industry insiders believe that the WWE is once again bringing back Sgt. Slaughter for this year’s Tribute To The Troops event.

Furthermore, the event will be taped at the Naval Base in San Diego, California on December 5th; and shall air on December 14th on the USA Network.
